الإعدام لهشام طلعت مصطفى والسكري في قضية سوزان تميم

أصدرت محكمة جنايات جنوب القاهرة في جلستها اليوم الخميس الحكم بإعدام رجل الأعمال هشام طلعت مصطفى وضابط الشرطة السابق محسن السكري، في قضية مقتل الفنانة اللبنانية سوزان تميم. وسبق للمحكمة بجلستها الأخيرة في 21 مايو الماضي أن أحالت أوراق المتهمين المذكورين لفضيلة الدكتور علي جمعه مفتي الجمهورية، للتصديق على الحكم بإعدامهما لسابقة إدانتهما بقتل الفنانة المذكورة في شهر يوليو من العام الماضي. كما قضت المحكمة بإجماع الآراء أيضا بمعاقبة محسن السكرى بالسجن المشدد عشر سنوات ومصادرة مبلغ المليوني دولار التي دفعها له هشام طلعت مصطفى لتنفيذ الجريمة والذخائر المضبوطة، وألزمت المحكمة السكرى وهشام طلعت مصطفى بأن يدفعا متضامنين لكل من عبد الستار تميم والد الفنانة وشقيقها خليل عبد الستار تميم وثريا ابراهيم مبلغ خمسة آلاف جنيه على سبيل التعويض المدنى المؤقت

Europe's first headscarved MP...أصغر نائبة ببلجيكا مسلمة ترتدي الحجاب

تبدأ شابة بلجيكية من اصل تركي انتخبت لعضوية برلمان بروكسل الاقليمي على قائمة وسطية المشاركة اعتبارا من الثلاثاء 23-6-2009 في جلسات هذا البرلمان مرتدية الحجاب الاسلامي لتشكل بذلك الحالة الاولى من نوعها في بلجيكا ما اثار احتجاج بعض البرلمانيين باسم العلمانية.واستنادا الى الصحف البلجيكية فانها الحالة شبه الوحيدة في اوروبا باستثناء نائبة عن منطقة سبتة المغربية الخاضعة لحكم ذاتي تحت ادارة اسبانيا.ومنذ اسبوعين تعد ماهينور اوزدمير (28 سنة) الحاصلة على شهادة في العلوم السياسية من جامعة بروكسل الحرة اصغر نائبة في برلمان بروكسل.وماهينور وهي ابنة تاجر تركي مقيم في حي شاربيك في بروكسل الذي تسكنه جالية مهاجرة كبيرة، عضوة في المركز الديمقراطي الانسان، الحزب الاجتماعي المسيحي السابق الناطق بالفرنسية.وتقول ماهينور انها ارتدت الحجاب في سن الرابعة عشرة "عن قناعة شخصية".والشابة التي تشارك منذ ثلاث سنوات مرتدية الحجاب في اعمال مجلس شاربيك البلدي دون ان يثير ذلك اي جدل تنوي حضور الجلسة الافتتاحية لبرلمان بروكسل بالزي نفسه

Belgium's Ozdemir becomes Europe's first headscarved MP
Turkish origin Mahinur Ozcelik swore in at Belgium's parliament in Brussels with her headscarf without any crisis, Turkish media reported. Ozdemir, 28-year-old, became first headscarved lawmaker in Europe. She became on Tuesday secretary member as the youngest MP in parliament alongside the oldest lawmaker.

Indian twins stirs debate

For Vani and Veena separation would be a relief. Born to landless labourers in the Indian state Andhra Pradesh, the 5-year-old twin sisters are conjoined at the head. Fused together at the skull, even walking is painful for Vani and Veena as their heads move in grotesque-looking contortions.Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan cautioned against a surgery of the twins, who are under the care of Niloufer Children's Hospital in India's Hyderabad.
"Surgeons, in some instances, have to pick one twin to die to save the other," the minister said in remarks carried by the Straits Times newspaper."Even those who survived would often be left with brain damage. So, to what extent is this quality of life," he asked.
"To change the course of nature may do more harm than good," Khaw argued.

The estimated costs for surgery and treatment come up to about 750,000 Singapore dollars (514,000 US dollars) which the Andhra Pradesh government would be expected to fund.
The parents of Vani and Veena agreed to the surgery, but Goh( renowned Singapore neurosurgeon Keith Goh)said he was still awaiting a final decision from the state government.
