The female was close to croaking it after getting crushed in the front door of a house. She broke both of her front legs in the accident in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.
But staff at St Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in nearby Aylesbury, Bucks, saved the creature by fitting her with specially-made casts.
They used an endrotraecal tube to make two splints for the tiny amphibian who measures just three inches.
