Nestle food poisoning in USA..."نستله" تسمم 66 شخصا في الولايات المتحدة

سحبت شركة "نستله" اليوم احد منتجاتها من الأسواق الأمريكية بعد تسجيل حالات تسمم نتيجة لتناولها، فيما تجري السلطات الأمريكية تحقيقا في الأمر.
وقامت الشركة بسحب عجينة تستخدم لتصنيع الكعك بشكل فوري من المحلات، بعد ان أخطرتها ادارة الغذاء والدواء ومراكز السيطرة على الأمراض في الولايات المتحدة بوجود العديد من حالات التسمم التي قد تكون ناتجة عن تناول تلك العجينة.
وقالت ادارة الغذاء والدواء انه تم تسجيل أكثر من 66 حالة مرضية في 28 ولاية منذ مارس الماضي، بينهم 22 حالة تم إدخالها الى التنويم.
وأبدت الإدارة تخوفها من ان بعض المرضى معرضون للإصابة بفشل كلوي، ونصحت الأمريكيين برمي تلك العجينة اذا كانوا يملكونها في منازلهم، فيما ناشدت المطاعم عدم استخدامها

Nestle USA of Glendale, California, has issued a nationwide recall of Toll House refrigerated cookie dough products after FDA and CDC officials linked consumption of the cookie dough to 66 E. coli illnesses in 28 states since March 1. Approximately 25 people have been hospitalized, and 7 have reported complications of hemolytic uremic syndrome. No deaths have been reported.
Nestle said it learned Wednesday night that federal officials had linked an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 with the consumption of raw cookie dough. The company issued a recall notice this morning for all varieties of its refrigerated Toll House cookie dough, which includes brownie dough.
The FDA has advised consumers to throw away any prepackaged, refrigerated cookie Nestle Toll House cookie dough products. Retailers, restaurants, and their employees should not sell or serve any of the products.
