The 42-year-old mum of one lost her hubby, 31, when a routine op to remove his appendix went wrong.
She was desperate for another child and within hours of his death, a court granted permission for his sperm to be removed while still healthy. Hours after the fatal procedure in June 2007, she begged for emergency permission to harvest the sperm — arguing it was her human right to have a family.
But one of Britain’s top family judges has said this may have been unlawful as she did not get her husband’s permission.
The woman — named only as “L” for legal reasons — insisted at a family court hearing that her husband told her he wanted a sister or brother for their baby girl.
