A parachute designed more than 500 years ago by Leonardo da Vinci has been used by a Swiss daredevil in a successful jump.
Amateur parachutist Olivier Vietti-Teppa said his 2,130-foot drop from a hovering helicopter was "a perfect jump".
The parachute, which opened at 600m, was made of modern fabric but followed designs drawn by Da Vinci in 1485.

It consists of four equilateral triangles, seven metres on each side, with a square mosquito net at the base of the pyramid to enable it to open.
Vietti-Teppa, 36, was the first person to have made it safely to the ground with the Da Vinci model.
