'Framed' designed by Stuart Haygarth

London Design Festival: designer Stuart Haygarth has installed picture-frame offcuts in stripes either side of a marble staircase at the Victoria & Albert Museum for the London Design Festival.Called Framed, the installation leaves a ziz-zag path between the painted frames, which were collected from art framers John Jones.The installation remains in place until 26 September.

القصة ان احد اثرياء الشرق الاوسط، يُعتقد انه من دولة خليجية ومُغرم بتحقيق ارقام قياسية لم تُسجل سابقاً، اشترى من الاخوين طاندي شقة مساحتها 17 الف قدم تتألف من طابقين علويين للمبنى الذي يُدعى «لابيل ايبوك» ومن 30 غرفة، بينها ثلاث غرف نوم فقط في ما اصبح يُعرف باسم «صفقة العصر» اذ لم يسبق ان بيعت شقة بهذا الثمن سابقاً.والشقة لها تاريخ مثير بين الاثرياء، اذ كان يملكها المصرفي اللبناني اليهودي ادمون صفرا الذي قتله صدفة ممرضه تيد ماهر في محاولة غريبة لانقاذه من مرض وهمي كما قيل في حينه.وفي عام 2008 باعت ارملته ليلي صفرا الشقة للاخوين كريستين ونيك كاندي اللذين ادخلا تعديلات عليها، من بينها تزويدها بناد صحي وصالة سينما لها مقاعد يمكن ان تتحول الى اسرة عند كبسة زر. وزرعا فيها اشجاراً من بينها شجرات نخيل تم نقلها الى الاعلى بواسطة رافعات ليصبح سطحها الواسع المطل على الخليج اشبه بموقع في الصحراء القريبة من البحر
